JIAS has emerged as an important international, multidisciplinary platform for advancement of anthropological knowledge with its emphasis on exploring the fields of archaeology, biology, and social sciences including social and cultural anthropology. It publishes quality theoretical, empirical, and review articles covering diverse fields of human study, in order to foster a holistic understanding of humankind.
JIAS welcomes contributions that look into diverse perspectives ranging from Anthropology (archaeological, linguistic, socio-cultural), Human Biology (biological diversity, evolution, genetics, adaptation, health), and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Environmental science, Folklore). It essentially promotes knowledge, where biology, culture and history intersect and even configured.
Other than research articles, JIAS tries to follow a vibrant academic course by keeping provision for Book Reviews, Research Notes, Obituaries, and academic news. Rigorous peer reviews pursued by JIAS are of considerable help in maintaining the originality of a published work that can contribute meaningfully to the global knowledge, fostering international dialogue and diverse scholarly perspectives.
